WHITNEY MICHELLE SULLIVAN

Whitney Michelle Sullivan, 34, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Houston, Texas.

Whitney was born on July 16, 1986 to her loving parents Yvonne and Dean. She graduated from Spring Woods High School in 2004 and remained in Houston until her untimely death.

Left to cherish the sweet memories of her life are her parents, Yvonne Ogrodowicz and Dean Sullivan; brothers, Brian Brown, Marshall Brown, and Sean Sullivan; devoted aunt, Margie Ogrodowicz; her niece Olivia Rose Brown; as well as numerous friends and family who loved her dearly. Whitney was preceded in death by her beloved aunt, Rose Ogrodowicz Gold.

Whitney was one of the kindest and most compassionate people you could ever meet. She was genuine, selfless, funny, and a truly devoted friend to those around her. She possessed the rare ability to appreciate and share the subtle beauty of the simplest things in life that most take for granted. Whether it was a night out with friends or laying out at the beach in the early morning sunshine, she took every opportunity to enjoy life and live each day to the fullest.

Whitney loved her pets with her whole heart, most notably Sid the cat for 14 years and recently her beloved BB and Joao. She was artistic and had a lifelong love for music and especially loved the band 311. She enjoyed the great outdoors and loved all aspects of nature, finding beauty in all of God's creatures great and small. She loved kayak fishing, cooking, and had an immense love for traveling. She spent every free moment she had wandering the globe from Portugal, Morocco, Central America, to Japan. When she wasn't traveling you can be sure she was planning her next adventure. Her travels served her well, as she grew a greater appreciation for different cultures, customs, and cuisine. She was the living embodiment of the motto, "not all that wander are lost".

Whitney devoted her life to taking care of those she loved and the strangers that became her extended family throughout her travels and work as a beloved bartender. She saw the importance of making genuine connections and memories with those she knew or just met. She did not care about material possessions or social standings but treasured her friends and family as hard currency choosing to focus in on the hearts of all she met. More than anyone, Whitney understood life is not a race but a journey in which we embark on.

There are no words to describe the depths of our sorrow. Her inbox full of messages, posts, and texts serve as an eternal testament to her beautiful soul, the subtle beauty in which she lived her life and how she will continue to be so dearly loved and missed by her friends and family. These words pale in comparison to the amazing life she lived and the depth of which she touched so many hearts. While we cannot begin to encapsulate, express, or atone for the gravity of loss we feel for such a beautiful human being, please take solace in the fact that Whitney's passing is made easier by knowing you all are out there keeping her memory alive..."In the end, all rivers flow to the sea."

Rest Well Whitney. We will see you again.

Memorial service will be held at Marmion Park Gazebo in the Heights on December 12th at 1pm.
