Thomas Menefee

March 29, 1947 — May 14, 2020

Thomas "Tom" Wesley Menefee Jr of Houston, TX, age 73, received his crown in heaven after fighting cancer for over three years on Thursday, May 14 around 12:05 pm in the comfort of his sister and brothers-in-law's home. Tom had a unique ability to capture human emotion and showcase the beauty of local art, architecture, historical landmarks, music, events, and the nature that surrounded him through photography. His family and loved ones will always remember Tom's quick wit and jokes, his passion for sailing and his deep love for music that nurtured his carefree spirit. After attending Stephen F. Austin University, he started his work in residential construction as a contractor for most of his professional life. Tom was born on March 29, 1947 in Houston, TX. Tom is preceded in death by his parents Thomas "Tom" and Jacqueline "Jackie" Menefee. Tom "Pop Pop" is survived by his sister Carole Menefee Jensen and her husband Grant "Rob" Jensen, his loving daughter Megan Menefee Frisa and his adoring grandchildren Nathan Frisa and Aubrielle Frisa. Family and friends will come together to celebrate the life of Tom Menefee on Thursday May 21, 2020, 12:00 pm at Houston's First Baptist Church (HFBC) Loop Campus in the chapel. Should you want to donate in honor of Tom's life, we provided links for charitable organizations in our community including; (HFBC) Missions honoring his love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the lifelong memories shared with his family's involvement in the church and The Galveston Bay Foundation to honor his love for sailing and many fun times spent at the Bay. The family would like to express their gratitude to Houston Hospice, Houston's First Baptist Church, Integrity Funeral Care and our dear friends and family for supporting us during this difficult time. Tom's light he shared will be deeply missed.
