Sandy Bonnin, age 73, passed away on February 3, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with several illnesses.
Sandy is survived by her husband Ray Bonnin, her sons David (wife Kristi), John (wife Patti), and James (wife Jennifer), her grandchildren Garrett, Ella, Caden, and Colby, as well as her sisters Jean Smith and Ruth Ann Spann. She is preceded in death by her parents Juanita and David Livingston.
Sandy was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on December 7. She was the youngest of three girls, she spent her childhood playing with her sisters and their dogs on a farm in Lee County, Arkansas. Later they settled in Lexa where she graduated from Barton High School in 1966.
In 1966, she married her husband of almost 55 years Ray Bonnin. They moved to Houston in 1970 where they remain until this day. They were blessed with three sons whom she loved dearly. Sandy was a stay-at-home mother involved with her sons lives as room mother, team mother, and score keeper. She Joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1994 where she worked for 16 years before retiring. She was an avid artist who loved quilting, sewing, embroidery, ceramics, and jewelry making. Sandy loved spending time at her church, St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, where she has been an active member since 1978. Over the years she led sewing groups, was a Sunday School Teacher, was the director of Vacation Bible School and later worked Bible Village in VBS, and volunteered for countless events.
