Joseph Sternberg

Joseph Avrome Sternberg, 97 years of age, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Buckingham Retirement Community.

Joe was born on August 19, 1923 in New Orleans, LA. He was the oldest of two children born to Jacob (Jay) and Louise Boshwit Sternberg.

Joe married Leona Mattes Sternberg on August 9, 1947. His most important accomplishment was being a wonderful example for his children, Joseph Sternberg and Jenny Sternberg Gavranovic (husband Ron), his grandchildren, Kelli Gavranovic, Kristi Gavranovic Price, (husband Adam), Justin Sternberg (wife Courtney), Josh Sternberg, (wife Abby), and Rebecca Sternberg, great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie and Brody Jacob Sternberg, Charles Joseph and Rhett Joseph Sternberg and Adam Forrest Price Jr., (AJ

A private Graveside Service will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Garden at 1101 Antoine Drive in Houston, Texas.
