Donna Duggan

February 16, 1957 — May 10, 2023

After a long and courageous battle with illness, Donna Sue Kemp Duggan entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.  Donna was 66.

Donna was born on February 16, 1957, in Camden Arkansas to parents George Pendleton Kemp and Clara Elizabeth Kemp. She attended high school in St. Louis County, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a Batchelor of Science in Business Administration.  She excelled in several roles during her life.  She first worked in the stock market and passed her Series 7 license to trade securities.  Following that, she changed jobs to stay home and raise her two sons before returning to the workforce as a teacher’s aide, holding various roles.  Her most beloved and appreciated role was working with Autistic grade school children in Special Education for which she was recognized by the Katy Independent School District.  She lived with her husband George in Katy Texas.

Donna is survived by her husband of 43 years, George, their son Jeffrey Mitchell Duggan and his wife Kelly Eidson, their son Andrew David Duggan, his wife Ashley Jean Rieger Duggan and their son (Donna’s first grandchild) Joshua Rieger Duggan and her brother Gregory Pendleton Kemp and his wife Paige Kemp.  Donna leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many dear and beloved friends.

Donna will be cremated and her ashes spread in a place she loved and cherished.  There are no immediate services planned; instead, the family is planning two Celebrations of Life to be scheduled for this summer, one in Katy, Texas and one in St. Louis, Missouri. Details will be made available at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donna’s memory to either Autism Speaks at autismspeaks.org or to the Missouri Botanical Garden in Saint Louis by mail to Missouri Botanical Garden, P.O. Box 17419, St. Louis, MO 63178-7419 or at mobot.org,.
