Charles Steckbeck

July 29, 1942 — December 21, 2020

Charles Aaron Steckbeck passed from our earthly world on December 21, 2020 due to complications from an accidental injury.

He was given to us on July 29, 1942 to parents Aaron and Eleanor and lived his youth in Lebanon Pennsylvania with his brother Jim and sister Patricia. Early on he held a variety of jobs including that of a cameraman for a local television station. Then the request came in for him to serve our country in the Army.

After his honorable discharge, he moved to Houston, Texas, completed his university degree, and after multiple jobs in corporate accounting with big oil, he started his own CPA service. As a CPA, he enjoyed helping others, specifically small businesses and individuals with their taxes for the remainder of his life. Charles loved his family and put family first, and his clients were an informal extension of that family-first mentality. He took personal pride in being able to help his clients out of difficult situations, and his success at this came largely from his ability to see situations in a positive light, and carried this through with his charm and humor.

He is and always will be loved by his family, and missed by his many friends and colleagues.

Charles is survived by his 2 children; David and Tonya, and 4 grandchildren; Emma, Brianna, Abigail, and Ryan.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Aaron Francis Steckbeck and Elanor Louise Steckbeck, and his brother and sister, Francis James Steckbeck and Patricia Ann Norman.

Interment of his ashes will be at a future date and time, but are planned to be at the Houston National Cemetery.
