Brian Calhoun

July 27, 1962 — September 26, 2019

Brian Calhoun lost his battle with cancer on September 26, 2019. He was born in Fort Hood, Texas on July 27, 1962 to Sharon and Milton Calhoun. He joined the US Air Force in 1980 and was medically discharged in 1985 because of muscular dystrophy. After he was discharged, he became a blackjack dealer in Las Vegas for several months until he moved back to Texas in 1986 where he lived out the rest of his life.

Brian was a kind and caring person, and he did not let his disease hold him down. He was a hard worker. He worked for the Houston chronicle for 20 years and then became a delivery driver for several years for different companies. His favorite hobby was building model airplanes and he loved anything related to the military. He was very knowledgeable and loved trivia, anything to do with space and NASA and his favorite, Bigfoot. He was a big Dallas cowboys fan, loved watching movies, the Star trek series and listening to music, his favorite was Weird Al Yankovic. Brian loved being around people, especially his family, and he will be truly loved and missed by all.

Brian is survived by his wife Margaret Calhoun, his son and daughter-in-law Geddy and Elizabeth Plano, his grandchildren Dean, Allisandra, Sam and Caspian, his sisters Linda Kelley and Nikki Calhoun, his step mother Carla Sue Calhoun, his brother and sister-in-law Eric and Chary Slobodzian, his sister in law Donna Grabowski, his nieces Shelbie Becker and her children Bella, Kaylen, Liam, Avery and Emery, Michaela Kelley, Katelyn Kelley and Ariana Slobodzian, his nephews Michael Slobodzian and his wife Rachel and their sons Andrew and Cameron, John Slobodzian and his wife Kara and their children Link and Emma, Joseph Grabowski and his son Joseph Jr, Chris Leach and his wife Ana, Eric Slobodzian Jr and his wife Melissa and their son Carson and Chris Ryckman and his wife Raven.
