Yvette Simone Saucier

May 27, 1966 — October 11, 2023

Yvette Simone Saucier was born on May 27, 1966 in Pensacola, Florida to Edward and Gretchen Saucier. She spent several of her formative years in Hawaii due to her father being stationed there in the Navy.  She completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1988.  Upon graduation, she moved to Clear Lake, Texas and enjoyed a long career with NASA until her retirement in 2019.

Yvette was an inspiring person and dedicated to those she held dear.  She was a loving and doting wife and an amazing grandmother. Her grandchildren were her sweet spot. Crafting with the grandkids was her all time favorite activity!  She spent hours researching and coming up with their next crafting project. In her free time she enjoyed painting and perfecting recipes at home. She was a gourmet in the kitchen and enjoyed all the little details of the meals presentation.

Yvette passed away on October 11, 2023 in Katy, Texas at the age of 57.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward Saucier.  She is survived by her wife, Monica Vargas; step-daughter Lauren Milheiser (Jamey); grandchildren, Caralynn Romero and Savannah Romero; mother, Gretchen Saucier; brother, Marcus Saucier; and numerous other family members.

Funeral services for Yvette will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church, 5356 11th St., Katy, Texas 77493.
