Virginia Brown

Virginia Darlene Brown, age 67, passed away on October 12, 2019. Darlene was born February 25, 1952, near Bartley Woods Community and Hail in Fannin County, Texas to Tom and Ruth Butler. She was the tenth out of eleven children.
Darlene worked for multiple police departments throughout the 70s in the communications division as a dispatcher. In 1980, she began working for the Travis County Sheriff's Office and eventually became an Evidence Property Technician. Darlene then chose to be a full-time mother for several years and stayed at home to take care of her 3 boys. When they were old enough, she became a substitute teacher and then secretary at Jarrell ISD until 2010. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking for friends and family, reading books, solving word search puzzles, and deepening her faith. Her favorite color was purple and she never met a flower she didn't like.
She is survived by her sons: Andrew Brown, Aaron Brown, and Adam Brown; grandson: Asher Brown; and numerous relatives and friends.
A celebration of Darlene's life will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Cross Trails Cowboy Church, 4761 FM1563, Wolfe City, TX 75496. Potluck lunch to follow.
