Tonya G. Booker was blessed to come into this world through the parentage of Gussie B. Booker Jr. and QT Elizabeth Booker. Tonya’s love for the Lord started at an early age, while living in Albuquerque, NM she attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with her mother and siblings. Her mother moved to New Waverly, Texas and Tonya started attending Jasper Missionary Baptist Church where she accepted Christ and was baptized. Tonya served faithfully in all the Youth Ministries, singing in the choir, and served on the usher board. She later moved her membership and recently joined Fallbrook in Houston, Texas.
Tonya graduated from New Waverly High School in 1992. She followed her passion to become a teacher at Lone Star-Montgomery. She worked full-time at CVS to support her children whom she loved and adored. She diligently continued her studies while attending college part-time. Once she graduated from college, she became a teacher and continued her studies at University of Phoenix. “True teachers love to learn.”
Ms. T was given the special nickname by a few of those who loved and cherish her. Ms. T had a smile that is worth a million dollars. Ms. T although she was always busy, she would enjoy watching one of her favorite shows 48 Hours and loved seeing her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys play.
She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and by her father, Gussie B. Booker Jr.
She is survived by her loving mother QT Elizabeth Booker. She commits to the care of the Lord her beloved children, Alexandria Booker, Pamela McNulty, Isaiah Booker, Travonn Booker, Jasmin Booker, Evan Booker.
Adored grandchildren; Aaliyah Booker, Kingston Booker, Faith Morgan, Naevia Booker, Damaryen Booker, all of Houston, Texas. Her sister, Olesha Booker Smith, (Rev. Darnell Smith Albuquerque, New Mexico), her brother Bishop Desmond Booker, Dallas, Texas. And a host of relatives including aunties, uncle, cousins, nieces, and great nephews.
