On the evening of December 16th, 2025, my beloved mother took her very last breath while asleep, appearing totally at peace, with my husband and I both holding her.
For anyone who knew Susan Jones Reissinger, either briefly or deeply, it was easy to tell she was one of a kind. My mother had this unique way of making people feel seen and cared about. Being loved by her felt like nothing else. She was "Sue-momma" to many of my friends and even some of the neighborhood kids.
Susan's ultra-compassionate heart and ability to listen with absolute attention remained a constant inspiration for me; it confirmed that goodness really does exist in this world. I will forever strive to emulate and honor the beautiful warmth of her outlook and presence. I simply could not have asked for a better mother, mentor, or best friend to journey through this life with. She will be missed beyond what words could ever fully capture or convey.
Susan was a hippie at heart. She loved the ocean, being in nature, rock and folk music, laughing and being silly, caring for children, plants, and her beloved pets; she was skilled at teaching, sewing, creating a beautiful home, and connecting genuinely with anyone she ever met.
I will forever feel her love all around me and be forever grateful to have known such an amazingly bright soul.
