IN LOVING MEMORY
Socorro Marie “Mamo” Guerrero
October 29, 1935 – February 26, 2023
87 years old
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother peacefully passed away on February 26, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on October 29, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas then lived in Houston, Texas with her four children.
She enjoyed listening to classic rock music, especially her favorite band “The Who”. She even went to several of their concerts by herself, had all of their albums, and posters hung on every wall of her room. Her passion was to stay active by walking to every place she had to be and brought along her grandchildren and eventually, her great grandchildren. She was very selfless and dedicated herself to her family.
Most of all she deeply loved and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She instilled good values in each one of us that will last a lifetime.
Mamo, you will be tremendously missed and forever in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Felicitas Galvan along with her sisters and brothers, survived by her sister Mary Ortiz and loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Survived by her children Joe Guerrero, Lisa Sierra (Andy), Michael Guerrero (Irene) and Jerain Guerrero (Mike). Her grandchildren; Mark White Jr., Lisa Garcia (Edmundo III), Nichole Mendoza (Adam), Thomas Self Jr. (Lexi), Joseph Guerrero, Matthew Moya, Lizzy Guerrero, Molly Guerrero and Shy Guerrero. Her great grandchildren; Jeffrey, Adam Jr., Jayden, Adrian, Xena, Edmundo IV and Lillian.
Family will gather at Integrity Funeral Care on March 18, 2023 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Followed by reception at her granddaughter and son-in-law home from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
