On Tuesday, January 23, 2024 Sharon passed peacefully at home with family by her side. Sharon was born June 7th, 1956 to Bill and Martha George in San Francisco, CA. The family eventually settled in Houston where she graduated from Spring Woods High School in 1974 . Afterwards, she attended Stephen F. Austin University to study Education. There, she met and fell in love with Dave Ladd whom she married in January of 1980. The two settled in Bellaire, TX and raised four children together.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, “Mama”, sister and friend who was always there to listen and had that motherly ability to always make you feel better. She loved doing her puzzles and could often be found, much to the dismay of her husband, at Target on the hunt for a new one. Sharon also enjoyed and was very dedicated to her work and work-family. She was blessed to have spent 34 years at St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool, first as a teacher and later as Director of Operations. There was always a bowl of jelly beans in her office because she loved when the kids would come in for a visit. She also adored the many friendships built over all those years.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha and husband, Dave. She is survived by her children Jason, Jennifer, John, Georgeanna; grandchildren Michelle, Michael, Jack and Charlee; siblings Steven, Melissa, Liz, Tricia, Jim and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on a date yet to be determined.
