December 25, 1947 — March 17, 2019
Ronald William Little, 71, passed away on March 17, 2019, after suffering a stroke earlier in the week. He passed gently and peacefully while surrounded by his wife and children.
Ronnie was born on December 25, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas. He attended John Marshall High School where he met the love of his life, Elaine, and they married December 3, 1971.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother to his family, taking care of others before himself. Family referred to him as their biggest cheerleader.
As a strong Christian man, he was always an active servant in his church and a strong prayer warrior, living his faith and love of Jesus Christ.
Ronnie has been termed a legacy by his close friends and fellow workers in the Oil and Gas Industry. He thoroughly enjoyed working with NACE and the San Antonio Pipeliners Association; welcoming everyone with a friendly smile. And with Ronnie, strangers became lifelong friends.
Ronnie loved sports, especially college football, where his favorite team was the Texas Longhorns. "HOOK'EM HORNS." He would never watch a game without his Texas baseball cap and jersey, stuffed football, and his handmade UT blanket. He enjoyed messaging family and friends updates as the games progressed.
Ronnie was an avid hunter, beginning as an 8-year-old walking the fields hunting rabbits and selling them to Texas Star Inn employees to fund his ammo, which he bought shell by shell.
Ronnie was also a skilled home chef, bringing his family together through his love of cooking. He never missed an opportunity to impart his culinary wisdom on his children and sons-in-law. While either grilling or smoking... this BBQ Pitmaster's rule was always "low and slow."
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine Little; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Dan Kershner; daughter, Amber Little; son, Christopher Little; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Albert Bader; granddaughters, Shelby and Cameron Kershner; grandson, Adam Bader; brothers, David, Gary, and Ricky Little; and sister, Debbie Gilbert. He is preceeded in death by his mother and father, Marie and Hubert Little.
Memorial service in Houston will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Trinity Vineyard Church, 17150 Spring Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77429.
Memorial service in San Antonio will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, April 5, 2019, at Bethesda Christian Church, 2210 Basse Rd, San Antonio, TX 78213.
