Robert Maheshwari of Houston, Texas passed away on June 11, 2025 at Houston Methodist Hospital, after a long illness. He was born on August 21, 1973 in Malegaon, India. He graduated from Dhahran Junior High in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; the U.S. Department of Defense High School in Bahrain, and earned an AA degree in Computer Networking from South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. An achievement he was particularly proud of was earning the rank of Eagle Scout and receiving the honor of Order of the Arrow.
He worked in the computer field all his life and considered working for Harris County - Universal Services as his best job. As a Help Desk Representative, he liked to say he helped people in Harris County and beyond with their computer needs.
Robert loved to travel, having traveled in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He was proud to be an American and his goal was to visit all 50 states of the U. S. He had traveled to 35 states.
Robert loved to spend time with friends and family. He is survived by family and relatives in India and in the U.S. is survived by his parents, Vijay and Tonie (Santoy) and uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews on the Maheshwari and Santoy side.
Robert was a member of the Unity Church of Houston and when in good health, enjoyed volunteering working the cameras for Sunday services. He enjoyed playing tennis, flying his drone, and movie nights with his friends.
The family will be holding A Celebration of Life service on Saturday June 28 at the Tower of Light of the Unity Church Sanctuary – 2929 Unity Drive at 3 pm.
