Rita Inocencia Lugo Artigas

She was born on December 28th, 1949 in Lagunillas, Venezuela to Francisco and Angelica Lugo. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. A beacon of joy and love, she brought light into every room she entered, not just as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, but as a vibrant soul who cherished every moment of life. Her laughter was infectious, her kindness boundless, and her spirit indomitable.
She is survived by her daughter Maria Angelica Lagos Lugo, her granddaughters Victoria and Maria Fernanda Ortega Lagos, her great granddaughter Rocio Ortega. Siblings Siria Harbour and brother Sixto Lugo. Nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Graciela Lugo de Borges, Mercedes Lugo de Meleiro and her brothers Bernardo, Rafael and Juan Lugo Artigas.
A private mass and celebration of life for Rita will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2024. The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Hospice for their compassionate care at home during Rita’s illness.
Though Rita may have left this world, her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
