Rhonda Lyn Conley {May 13, 1956---November 7, 2019}
After an unexpected cancer diagnosis a few months ago, Rhonda Conley peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus at the home of her son in Houston, Texas. Rhonda's representation of strength, peacefulness, and faithfulness throughout her entire life were epitomized in the most beautiful and inspiring way in her final months here on Earth.
The daughter of David and Janice Fry, Rhonda was born in Geneva, PA where she grew up with her three brothers. As a young girl, Rhonda dedicated her life to Christ and proudly and joyfully shared her testimony and Jesus with others; encouraging the faith of many. Her love of God was at the forefront of her life, followed next by the love of her family.
For 31 years, Rhonda was the faithful and adoring wife of Rick Conley until he preceded her in death on April 12, 2010. Together they raised two sons and built a life that exemplified love, faith, and grace. Rhonda's love of the Lord, dedication to her family, and self-proclaimed ‘country girl' status cultivated genuineness, practicality, and simplicity in the way she lived her life.
Rhonda faithfully served as a children's church leader for many years, where she led and encouraged children in their own relationship with Jesus. Outside of serving the church, Rhonda's handmade rolls, a recipe passed down from her mother, were something of a hometown treasure at parties and gatherings. She was a fan of Jane Austen, thrift shopping, and studying the Word. Rhonda's light will be one that shines for generations to come.
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her sons John Larabee, Rick Conley and fiancée Megan O'Conner, and Randy Conley and wife Erin; her brothers Mike Fry and wife Joni, Jeff Fry and wife Joyce, and Tom Fry; her adoring grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3:30 pm on November 24, 2019 at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 805 Vernon Rd, Greenville, PA 16125. In lieu of flowers, Rhonda has requested a donation made to Crossroads Christian Fellowship or Twice Blessed in Mercer, PA.
