Reginald Dewayne Evans

Reginald Dewayne Evans, age 64 of Houston, Texas passed away May 2, 2024. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice Hill, Aubrey Hill, Lee Hermon Simmons and Velma Hailey and his brothers, Charles Evans, Ray Evans and Clarence Evans. He is survived by his parents, Dorothy and Clark Evans, brother, Richard Evans, wife, Glendine Evans, sister, Darsha Kendrick, husband, Tavarize Kendrick, sister, Gladys Evans, nephews and nieces Steven Evans, Alisha and husband, Justin Henderson, Amariah Kendrick, Jace Kendrick, Paul White and Patricia Evans, loving partner of 22 years, Naomi Lopez and their pups Luna and Dexter.

Reggie graduated high school from Jones High School in Houston, TX in 1978. He graduated college from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX with a degree in accounting.

Reggie worked for Neiman Marcus for decades where he made lifelong friends and acquired a vast wardrobe of designer clothes and shoes. He went on to fulfill his working career as a substitute teacher which turned out to be the job he loved he most.

A world traveler, an avid cyclist and a lover of books, music, movies, television, food and beer! A great story teller, a wiz with numbers and an ear for language. Could never win a game of trivia against him because he had a vast knowledge of useless information. Loved to dance and cook, and often times, he did both together. Was always willing to help out, be it a friend’s son that need driving time so he could get his driver’s license or a complete stranger that needed help carrying something out to their car.

He was loved by many and will be missed forever.
