Paula Goodman Roesler, age 74, passed peacefully on Sunday October 31st, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family and in the compassionate care of the nurses and staff of Methodist Hospital in Katy, Texas.
Paula was born in Harvey, Illinois on October 26, 1947. Her family moved to Texas, where she graduated from San Angelo High School. From there she moved to Houston where she met her husband. They married on Valentine’s Day and raised their family in Houston and Katy, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil Frank Goodman and Audrey Dakin Wiggs.
Paula is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Will (Bill) Roesler III; their son Will Roesler IV, granddaughters Lauren Roesler Graves and her husband Richard, and Meagan Lee Roesler; her sisters and their husbands Vivian and Charles Henderson and Audrey and Walter Antonation; her husband’s siblings who she loved as her own - Joan Abbot and Ronnie and Debbie Roesler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paula had a long career as a secretary for a local tax consultant. She loved her job and being a valued part of a team.
Paula was a loving wife and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her dogs and would happily share stories about dog-babies with anyone. Paula would go out of her way to help anyone who was in need. She was known for her warmth, her smile, and her hugs. She will be greatly missed.
A private wake will be held at the family’s residence at a later date.
