It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Joy Johns, who died on July 15, 2026, in Houston, Texas, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 19, 1956, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Barbara Johns (née Bradford). She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Stephen (Pamela); her nephew, Jeffrey Johns (Yara); her niece, Allison Kazakoff (Joshua); her grand-nephews, Hudson, Watson, and Lucas; her grand-niece, Kennedy; her cousins, Jamie Bradford and Susie Bradford; and her beloved dog, Augusta. Pam is also survived by many dear friends, especially Georgi Rosal, her closest friend, trusted confidant, and former business partner, their steadfast love and devotion were a constant source of strength for each other.

Pam's life was marked by accomplishments too numerous to list. Among her earliest achievements were her successes on the golf course. She won the Canadian Junior Girls Amateur Championship and was runner-up to future World Golf Hall of Fame member Nancy Lopez in the U.S. Western Junior Girls Amateur Championship. She also enjoyed numerous top tournaments finishes during her three years as a member of the Lamar University women's golf team in Beaumont, Texas.

Those accomplishments helped lay the foundation for an exceptional business career. In 1985, Pam founded her financial planning practice with Cigna Financial, later Lincoln Financial Advisors, where she remained until her retirement in 2013. Built through determination, integrity, and unwavering dedication to her clients, her practice grew into one of the premier advisory practices in the nation. Throughout her career at Lincoln Financial Advisors, Pam consistently earned the firm's highest advisor honors and became a founding member of The Resource Group, an elite organization comprising the company's top 250 advisors.

Never one to remain idle, Pam embarked on a second career with Invited Clubs at Hearthstone Country Club. In February 2026, she was named Invited's National Director of Membership of the Year for 2025, an honor recognizing the top membership director among the company's 183 golf clubs nationwide.

Away from work, Pam cherished spending time with family and friends, especially on her worldwide travels and during her many visits to Toronto, Ontario, where she spent much of her childhood and teenage years. Golf remained a lifelong passion, whether she was playing, watching tournaments, or attending The Masters and U.S. and British Opens. The stories and memories created through those experiences are treasured by those who shared them and will never grow old in the retelling.

When confronted with challenges and adversity, Pam met them with courage, determination, and dignity. Nowhere was that strength more evident than during the final months of her life. Her legacy will live on through the grace, generosity, loyalty, and love she shared so freely with family, friends, colleagues, and everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Pam's family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the physicians and staff of Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, Houston Hospice, and Laural Parke for the compassionate care they provided throughout her illness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77098.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pam's memory to Houston Boxer Rescue, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, or The Rose.

Though her accomplishments were extraordinary, Pam will be remembered most for the kindness she showed, the friendships she treasured, and the unwavering loyalty she gave to those she loved.
