Owen Golding

July 30, 1999 — April 29, 2020

Owen Thomson Golding, 20, died unexpectedly in his sleep on April 29th, 2020. He was born July 30th, 1999 in Aiken, South Carolina and was raised in Nashville, Tennessee until his recent move to Houston, Texas. Owen attended Shayne Elementary School, Oliver Middle School and Ravenwood High School where he brought joy to many friends.

Owen was preceded in death by his Great Grandfather, Herman Faulk, and his beloved Grandmother, "Nana" Latecia Thomson, who we feel sure greeted him in Heaven with a huge hug. Owen is survived by his father and step-mother, William "Tony" and Jennifer Golding of New Caney, TX; mother and step-father Elizabeth and Troy Sparks of Nolensville, TN; Three sisters; Corinna Golding of Nashville, TN; Maya Sparks of Nolensville, TN, and Ashley Golding of Seattle, WA; Grandfather William Thomson (Polly) of Nashville, TN; Grandmother and Grandfather Ronald and Leona Sparks of Nashville, TN; Grandmother and Grandfather David and Faye Golding of Aiken, SC; Great Grandmother Marianne Faulk of Pelham, AL, many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as the pets he loved so much.

Owen was a gentle, kind-hearted young man who loved animals and rescued many. Those who met him instantly loved him. Owen loved the ocean and fishing. On days that he wasn't hanging out with his many friends, he could often be found with a fishing pole at the pond by his house.

The family would like to thank Owen's many friends for their outpouring of love and stories of the positive way he touched so many.
