Oralia Ogarita Muñoz Olmos, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home on August 14, 2025. She was born on May 7, 1930, in Monterrey, Mexico, to Eliseo Antonio Muñoz and Petra Garza.

On June 16, 1957, Oralia married the love of her life, Maximo H. Olmos, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage until his passing on January 31, 2022. Together, they built a family rooted in love and devotion.

In 1957, Oralia proudly immigrated to the United States and later became a U.S. citizen in 1976. Her faith was central to her life—she was among the founding parishioners of St. Benedict the Abbott Catholic Church, where she remained a lifelong, devoted Catholic and sang in the church choir.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses—Carlos Max and Robin, Alberto and Joy, Rossana and Michelle, Ricardo and Annette, and Victor and Elena; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor her memory. She was also blessed with five siblings. After their passing, Oralia became the matriarch of her family, lovingly regarded as a second mother and grandmother to her extended family.

In her youth, Oralia found joy in dancing and often performed in school programs. Later in life, one of her favorite pastimes was visiting casinos. She especially cherished a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Las Vegas with her husband to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

Her grace, strength, and devotion to family will be remembered always by all who knew her.

A viewing for close family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Integrity Funeral Care, 3915 Dacoma Street, Houston, Texas. The viewing will be reserved for immediate family from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. open for family and friends.

El 16 de junio de 1957, Oralia se casó con el amor de su vida, Máximo H. Olmos, con quien compartió 64 años de matrimonio hasta su fallecimiento el 31 de enero de 2022. Juntos construyeron una familia basada en el amor y la devoción.

En 1957, Oralia emigró con orgullo a los Estados Unidos y más tarde se convirtió en ciudadana estadounidense en 1976. Su fe fue el centro de su vida: fue una de las feligresas fundadoras de la Iglesia Católica St. Benedict the Abbott, donde permaneció como una católica devota toda su vida y formó parte del coro parroquial.
