Mary Goe

January 7, 1963 — January 14, 2020

Mary Frances Rudder Goe, known to most as Mary, passed from this world on January 14, 2020.

Mary was born on January 7, 1963, in Freeport, Texas, to Jack and Mary Lou Rudder. She grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas, graduating from Brazoswood High School in 1981. She later moved to the neighboring town of Richwood, where she and her husband Glenn Goe made their home.

Some will remember Mary from her days working at The Wursthaus, while others knew her from her job as a Life Skills Assistant at Angleton High School. In between those two jobs she worked for Health, Inc., as a caregiver for an elderly couple she grew to love. Mary held a few other various jobs throughout her life, but she spent most of her years helping to take care of others.

Mary lost her husband Glenn in 2017 and from that day forward every day was a struggle. Her candle began dimming the day Glenn died, and just a bit over 2 years after he passed, her candle flickered, went out, and she joined him.

In addition to Glenn, Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sons Brandon Lee Wagner and Christopher Lee Wagner.

Mary is survived by her sons Jay Andrew Wagner and Cameron Ray Goe, as well as her cherished granddaughters, Annabelle Lynn, Jolene Leanne, Remi Rae, and Karina Louise...she loved her girls deeply, and they provided joy to her until the day she was parted from them. Mary is also survived by her sister, Jacque Tobin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

And although she wasn't quite a family member, Mary also leaves behind Daisy, her sweet little dog. Anyone who knew Mary well will know how happy it would have made her to know that her little Daisy now has a new home where she will be happy, content, and loved.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date. The family asks that donations be made to the Brazoria County SPCA "Build Love a Home" project dedicated to creating a new "no-kill" facility (website: spca-brazoria.org), or to the charity of your choice.
