It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Madeline Carol Rodgers, a courageous fighter who battled stage 4 metastatic breast cancer with unwavering strength and resilience. Born on May 16, 1964, Madeline's valiant journey came to a peaceful end on February 20, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Madeline displayed unparalleled courage and determination, facing each challenge with fortitude. Her spirit served as an inspiration to all who knew her, and her bravery in the face of adversity touched the hearts of many.
Madeline's journey was marked by countless moments of hope, perseverance, and faith. Despite the hardships she endured, she never lost sight of the beauty and preciousness of life, cherishing each day as a gift.
Throughout her nursing career, Madeline exemplified the true essence of caregiving, pouring her heart and soul into her work to ensure the well-being of those entrusted to her care. Her gentle touch and reassuring presence brought comfort to patients during their most vulnerable moments.
Madeline's passion for nursing was surpassed only by her love for her patients, whom she treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Madeline's genuine empathy and dedication left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her colleagues regarded her not only as a skilled nurse but also as a mentor and passionate advocate, always ready to serve those in need and offer words of encouragement.
In addition to her remarkable career, Madeline leaves behind a left legacy of love and cherished memories as she is survived by her devoted son Alexz Thomas Rodgers who meant the world to her. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter Samantha Rodgers who brought immense joy to her life.
Madeline found companionship and solace in her two beloved kitties Charlie and Sissy who provided her with endless comfort and affection.
Madeline's legacy as a fighter, a mother, and a friend will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her kindness and spirit will be remembered.
Madeline is preceded in death by her loving parents Tom and Joan Rodgers as well as her stepmother Fran Rodgers and several loved aunts and uncles. She now reunites with them in eternal peace.
Madeline's memory will forever be cherished by her sister, Michelle Murray, her stepbrother, Richard Miner, her cousin, Jodene Word, best friend Tiffany Murray, nieces and nephews, friends, cousins and acquaintances whose lives she touched with her strength and resilience.
Though Madeline may have passed from this world, her legacy of courage and love will continue to shine brightly, illuminating the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
