Krista Carlson
December 26, 1967 – February 4, 2022
Krista Anne Carlson, a charming, fun-loving, protective friend and family member, died on February 4, 2022, at the age of 54 from medical complications. Krista dreamed of traveling in a RV as the family had done when she was very young. That opportunity finally came as she spent the last year enjoying her life traveling across the country occasionally joined by friends and family. Krista is survived by her mother, Anne Carlson, her sisters, Laura Hayes and Lynn Brunson, her nieces, Erin Ewing, Monica Kellum, Rachelle Johnson, and 5 grand nieces and nephews. With her charisma and quick wit, the Carlson family all agree that she holds the title of “Family Comedian”.
Krista lived in the heart of Houston, TX for the majority of her adult life. She loved the energy that the city provided and made herself a home in mid-town. She was born in Dallas, TX and attended Texas A&M where she nurtured her love of the Aggies and her joy for a good rivalry, cheering on her favorite football team, as they played against the Longhorns after Thanksgiving dinner. After college, Krista used her charisma to foster a successful 25-year career in technology and software sales. She enjoyed the opportunity to support growing businesses as a sales professional. Krista’s most prized talent and hobby was her ability to put together an impressive Halloween costume, and every year she looked forward to showing off her ensembles at an office Halloween party or to her friends and family.
While Krista will be dearly missed, she will be greeted by her father, George Robert “Bob” Carlson, and nephew, Cole Pangburn with warm hugs and belly laughs in Heaven.
