The world has a different shape today without Kimberly in it.

Kimberly Curry Noble, 65, died peacefully on August 19, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her family.

Kimberly was born September 19, 1960, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to the late Herman Reese Brown and Natalee Frier Farasey. She grew up in Lafayette, where she was a Mighty Lion at Lafayette High School before heading to Virginia and becoming a Sweet Briar College Vixen.

At Sweet Briar, Kimberly met the love of her life, Tom Noble. They married on June 19, 1982, and began a love story that would last more than 44 years.

After college, Kimberly and Tom made their first home together in Richmond, Virginia. Kimberly continued her education at the University of Virginia, earning a master’s degree in engineering, and began her career there as an environmental engineer. Kimberly’s career included nearly lifelong involvement in her third-generation family business, Southern Petroleum Laboratories (SPL). Over the years at SPL, Kimberly was an engineer, senior executive, board member, and owner.

From Richmond, Virginia Kimberly and Tom returned to Lafayette, where their children, Britton Lee Noble and Nicholas Reese Noble, were born. In the late 1980s, the family moved to Sugar Land, Texas, and put down roots in Sugar Creek. They became fixtures in the community, and Kimberly built a life full of family and friends. She loved to travel, saw the world, and came home from every trip with stories to tell. She was an avid tennis player, and the game brought her friendships that lasted far beyond the court. She was active in the garden club and the Sugar Creek Women’s Association.

Kimberly and Tom created a home that was a safe haven for many and fun for all. Friends became family and invitations to their home rarely had to be extended twice. Family dinners were the center of her week. There was always room for one more person, another story, another meal, and another dietary restriction. She loved decorating and could make any room beautiful. A hostess extraordinaire, Kimberly threw big parties, intimate gatherings, and everything in between. She loved a full table.

In her own words, her family "is my legacy.” It's a considerable one. She is survived by her husband, Tom; her daughter, Britton Noble-Orlik, son-in-law Henryk, and their children, Octavia and Jude; her son, Nicholas, daughter-in-law Cassie Grymes Noble, and their children, Nathaniel and Claire; her chosen daughter, Callie  Rose, Callie’s husband, Joey Rose, and their children, Owen, Lyla, and Mack; her brother, Mark Reese Brown, and sister-in-law Jacquelyn; her brother, Christopher Frier Brown, and sister-in-law Andrea Bertoli; and an extended family of cousins and many friends who loved her.

A celebration of Kimberly’s life will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Sugar Creek Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Child Advocates of Fort Bend in Kimberly’s memory.
