Kimberly Raye (Fleming) McCaffery passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Cypress, Texas, surrounded by the love of her parents, Jacque and Ray Fleming.

Kim was born on July 19, 1979, in Covina, California. At the age of two, Kim moved with her mother, Jacque, and her sister, Kristin, to Stafford, Texas. A few years later, Jacque married Ray Fleming, who welcomed both girls into his heart and officially adopted them in 1988.

Kim had the most beautiful blue eyes, the kind you could never forget. And in one final act of generosity, those same beautiful eyes became her last gift to the world. Through the gift of donation, a part of Kim will live on, bringing hope and the possibility of sight to someone else.

Kim found joy in the simplest things. She had a gift for finding beauty in places others might overlook. She loved the outdoors and could spend hours in the sunshine, lost in the pages of a Dean Koontz novel. Her favorite flowers were sunflowers and daisies, and she loved her dogs, especially Sadie. Kim had a special bond with Sadie after helping Sadie come into the world while volunteering at the animal shelter. Sadie is fiercely protective of those she loves much like Kim herself, whose loving and protective heart was always evident in the way she cared for her family.

Kim loved holidays because they gave her a chance to spend time with loved ones she had not seen in a while. She enjoyed the sight of smiling children dressed in their costumes on Halloween. Kim could pile her plate the highest on Thanksgiving, and she would put out every single decoration she had during Christmas time.

One of the most important parts of Kim's life was being a mother to her daughter, Brooklynn. Like many relationships, theirs had its challenges, as well as many joyful moments. Through it all, Kim cherished being Brooklynn's mom. Through every season of life, her daughter held a special place in her heart.

Kim had a loving heart, a fiery spirit, and a gentle soul. She was intensely loyal and the friendliest person you could ever meet. Her life left a mark on all who knew her. We will smile when we remember the love she always shared.

She is survived by her daughter, Brooklynn McCaffery; her husband, Toby Long; her parents, Ray and Jacque Fleming; her sister, Kristin Lindsay and her husband, Keith; her brother, Nathan Fleming and his wife, Mimi; her brother, Sean Fleming; her sister, Shannon Warren and her husband, Sonny; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousin and dear friends.

Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob and Delilah DeBolt, John and Frances Fleming, and Orren and Eva Dell Fox; her aunts, Terry Bodwell, Michaela Tuttle, Mary Fleming, and Rita Bell; and her cousins, Kyle Ekstrom, Colleen Dorosk, and Kelly Fleming.

A Celebration of Life for Kim will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 701 East Goliad, Crockett, Texas 75835. Reverend Cindy Doren will officiate.
