With heavy hearts and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of our beloved Julie Renee Hail-Dillon, who entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Heights after a courageous two-year battle with metastatic ovarian cancer. She was 61 years old.

Julie was the kind of person who made the world brighter simply by being in it. A proud redhead through and through, she possessed the fiery spirit often associated with redheads—a fierce love for her family and friends, unwavering loyalty, and a determination that inspired everyone around her. Yet her strength was beautifully balanced by a warm, joyful heart that welcomed everyone she met. Julie rarely met a stranger. Whether through a kind word, a warm smile, or genuine interest in someone’s life, she had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Julie shared over 21 years of life with her beloved husband, Ronald Keith Dillon, including 19 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith, laughter, and cherished memories.

Even during life’s greatest challenges, Julie chose hope. She consistently looked for the good in every situation and encouraged those around her to do the same. Throughout her illness, her faith never wavered. She continued to point others toward God’s love and faithfulness, offering encouragement, comfort, and prayers even while carrying her own burdens with remarkable grace.

Julie treasured the relationships she built throughout her life. Many who first knew her as coworkers quickly became cherished and lifelong friends. She believed deeply in investing in people, and her friendships were marked by laughter, compassion, generosity, and steadfast support.

Julie found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved crocheting, gardening, reading, baking, spending time with family and friends, singing in the church choir, and gathering with her church family. She enjoyed trips to Galveston and Crystal Beach, day swims with friends, and the little moments that brought beauty into everyday life. She had a special heart for caring for animals, especially rescuing kittens—including the world-famous Chicken Nugget. She loved watching butterflies emerge from their cocoons, waiting patiently as they dried their wings and prepared to fly. She enjoyed a good “who done it” mystery on BritBox and found great happiness in creating or finding thoughtful gifts to bless the people she loved.

Above all, Julie loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she faithfully encouraged others in their own walk with God. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, resilience, compassion, and unwavering trust in God’s promises.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Charles Hail.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Ronald Keith Dillon; her mother, Phylis Margaret Follmar; her son, Christopher Williams, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Williams; her grandchildren, Price Williams, Parker Williams, and Kyler Williams; her brother, Brent Hail, and sister-in-law, Dana Hail; her aunt, Melissa Follmar Smith; her cousin, Tommy Smith; and countless extended family members, friends, coworkers, and church family whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we rejoice in knowing that Julie is healed, whole, and at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her love, laughter, steadfast faith, and joyful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Julie’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Houston First Church of God, 14400 Northwest Freeway, Houston, Texas 77040.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the beautiful life Julie lived, the love she shared, and the unwavering faith that defined her. Following the service, a meal will be provided for the family.

Julie will be dearly missed, deeply loved, and forever remembered.
