Jimmy Dewitte Holleman, 82, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Houston, Texas. A dedication to his life and military service will be held on Monday, June 1st, 11:15 AM, at Houston National Cemetery.

Jimmy was born in Huntsville, Texas to Artie and Dewitte Holleman on December 15, 1943. He served his country in the United States Air Force before going on to serve the State of Texas as a Correctional Officer. He was a devoted fan of Texas sports and took genuine pleasure in cheering on his teams. Known for his sociable nature, Jimmy had a way of making friends wherever he went and never passed up the chance for a good conversation.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Dewitte.

Jimmy is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Erica Holleman, his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Jeff Daniel: grandchildren Dylan Holleman, Will Daniel, and Asher Daniel. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Becky and John Sartain.
