Jason W. Lewis, 45, of Tomball, TX, peacefully passed to heaven, early the morning of Wednesday, June 19,2024, at the Heart to Heart Hospice House, after a difficult battle with cancer. He left with his loving wife, Amanda, at his side, holding hands and listening to worship music together. Jason is now victorious over cancer and pain.
Jason was born in Torrance, CA, on August 26, 1978, to Katherine A. Kinar-Lewis, and Don W. Lewis. He was a graduate from Thousand Oaks High School, in Thousand Oaks, California. He continued his college education and completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, as well as his MBA in Technology Management from The University of Phoenix. He also served at The University of Phoenix as an Adjunct Professor for over 5 years, teaching and mentoring many.
He began his career at AT&T, advancing from Retail Store Manager to Account Executive, before transitioning into the Oil & Gas Industry as a Certified Professional Landman. He spent the last 6 years with the Dudley Land Company. An entrepreneur at heart, Jason also led multiple businesses, including a successful Mobile Notary Service, which became one of the most highly rated in the Houston metro area for over 10 years. He was a Business Development, Management, and Contract Negotiation Consultant for close friends, family and colleagues, including his sister, Tanya (Morrison)’s Public Safety Solutions Company, and his brother & sister-in-law, Aaron & Jennifer (Robinson)’s EA Panels, Inc.
It is difficult to encapsulate all who Jason was to those who loved him. He was full of life & energy - always giving, supporting, mentoring those around him. Jason’s humor and unyielding spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. He always woke up in an excellent mood and happy to start the day. We will miss how he made difficult situations simple and provided laughter. Jason invested in and mentored so many - Jason’s legacy will live on and positively affect generations to come.
An evangelist at heart, Jason was highly involved at CyLife Church in Cypress, TX, where he led the Parking Lot Team, various small groups over the years, and was involved in the Men's Ministry. Jason humbly loved the Lord with his whole heart, constantly sought to know and serve Him more.
A beloved husband and father, Jason passionately loved and was devoted to Amanda and their four daughters. They met during college, and they just had their 21st wedding anniversary. He supported Amanda in their efforts to homeschool for over ten years and was recently involved in the local Classical Conversations Homeschooling Community. He gladly took on “dad duty,” so Amanda could be involved in her growing Mary Kay business opportunities. Jason would prioritize spending one-on-one time with each of his girls, with many daddy-daughter dates and reading sessions before bed.
A beloved friend, Jason was passionate for the military, helping various military charities, and mentoring his nephews & niece in the Army. He took every opportunity to visit them on post or at the U.S. Military Academy (West Point). Jason was an avid gun collector, spending countless hours at the range. His favorite holiday was Independence Day/ Fourth of July. Always positive, extroverted and full of life, Jason enjoyed being active, and participated in multiple obstacle races like the Tough Mudder and Spartan. He loved catching waves on the coast, going on drives with friends, and hitching rides on his pilot friends’ aircraft.
Jason is survived by his wife, Amanda; his four daughters, Emily (16), Adison (14), Hannah (13), and Avery (10); his mother, Katherine A. Kinar-Lewis; his father and stepmother, Don and Wendy Lewis; his grandmother, Sharon Jones; his sister, Tanya (Ray) Morrison; his stepbrothers, Michael (Ashley), Matthew (Irene), and David Becerra; many sisters- & brother-in-laws, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues; and his two dogs - Dixie (“Jason’s dog”) & Charley.
