Gordon Paul Sorley, age 71, of Houston, formerly of Littlefield, TX, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022.
Gordon is survived by his sisters Sharon Parmer (Jimmy) of Littlefield and Debra King (David) of Welsh, LA, as well as his son, Chris (Tara) Sorley of Jefferson Hills, PA, and two grandchildren, Ava Sorley and Braden Sorley.
Born to the Rev. Dr. Clem Gordon Sorley and Marilyn Joy (Pittman) Sorley in Denton, TX, on October 20, 1951, Gordon graduated from Littlefield High School in 1969, attended Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and worked for Richardson Steel in Houston and Brownsville, TX for over 40 years. In his free time Gordon loved golf and the Astros, with either preferably accompanied by an ice cold beer.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation “Braden’s Brigade,” in honor of Gordon’s grandson Braden, who has Myoclonus Dystonia, or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease research.
