Gilberto “Beto” Mendoza Jr., 62, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving sisters. He was born July 6, 1961 in Beeville, Texas to Gilberto and Jovita Mendoza.
For many years, Beto owned and operated Big Mac Transportation in Channelview, Texas. He served many clients and friends in the Channelview and surrounding areas.
Beto is survived by his daughters: Alana Marie Mendoza and Ariel Mendoza, his sisters: Juanita Cano, Herminia Garza and husband Ysabel “Chabelo”, and Ofelia Marimon, his brother: Felipe Mendoza and wife Eva, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gilberto and Jovita (Sandoval) Mendoza, and his brothers-in-law Trino Cano Jr.and Tony Marimon.
Beto enjoyed spending time with family, and loved all the family gatherings.The family would like to thank the staff of Lake Jackson Nursing Home for their kind care.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Integrity Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, 8601 Almeda-Genoa Rd, Houston TX 77075
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 827 Sheldon Rd, Channelview, TX 77530
Interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015
