Gerald Richard

Gerald A. Richard, 63, departed this life on August 27, 2017, in Houston, Texas. Gerald was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Galveston where he lovingly and steadfastly served in the choir as well as other offices. His friends described him as a bon vivant with a quick wit. His love of history led him to participate in Dickens on the Strand. He also played a part in the Texas Renaissance Festival in its earliest years. He is survived by a son, James Joseph Richard, a daughter, Caeli Wynne Richard, a step-daughter, Genieva Thel Croley, a brother, Joseph N. Richard Jr., a sister-in-law, Nancy Richard, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Pierini Richard and his father, Joseph N. Richard Sr. Services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Grace Episcopal Church in Galveston. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation instead of flowers.
