After a short illness, Gary Sparks Bolton, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, 2/10/2026. He was from Missouri City, Texas. 

Mr Bolton was born on June 13, 1951, to Jean & Edward Bolton in El Paso. He married Betty Kathryn Rickel on December 28, 1973, in Munday, Texas.

He graduated with a BS. from The University of Texas at El Paso in 1973.

His first career was in engineering, but his work legacy was his video business where he documented the special events in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people for their future enjoyment & history. In his 3rd career, he loved being Santa to thousands of children. But most important, he was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He was a long time member of the First Colony Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean in 2001 & Edward in 2003. Also his sister, Jan Buck from Lubbock in 2023. Mr Bolton is survived by his wife, Betty; & 3 sons, Brian Bolton and wife Nina from Houston; David Bolton, and wife Rusul from Sugar Land, TX; and Scott Bolton from Missouri City, Texas. Two nephews James Buck and Travis Buck both from Lubbock. Also survived by David & Rusul's children; Gary's grandchildren were the light of his life here on earth; Adam Layth Bolton, Joseph David Bolton, and Mary Bushra Bolton.
