Felipe Apolinio Arriaga

September 7, 1991 — August 30, 2025

Houston

Felipe Apolinio Arriaga, son, brother, grandson, and first-born nephew of his generation, passed away peacefully in his sleep and was called home to the Lord on August 30, 2025. Born to Felipe Rene Arriaga and Raquel Arriaga in Pasadena, TX on September 7, 1991. His family knew him as Little Philip or Lil Phil to distinguish him with his dad and continued to call him those names into his adulthood.

Felipe graduated from Seven Lakes High School in 2010 in Katy, Tx where he played on the football team, hung out at Katy Mills Mall, and played video games and paintball with his friends. He attended Houston Community College briefly and pursued any job that was centered around technology and gadgets. He later moved to the Pasadena and Seabrook area where he worked in the refinery plants, yet he always continued researching about the next technological breakthrough that would change the world and was always a step ahead of everyone else’s understanding about it. Even though he loved technology, he was always ready for a trip to the water that he lived near to go fishing or swim all day in the pool with grill burning with his girlfriend, Leslie, her son, Vincent, and daughter, Alana, whenever she was in town.

Felipe loved his family and friends and was always ready for a get-together. He loved bringing food creations for all to enjoy, talking everyone’s ears off, showing you crazy and funny videos on his phone, and just being with his family and friends with a huge smile on his face…always. He loved hanging out with his younger brother, Alex, whenever they had time off from work or would play video games online if they couldn’t be with each other. If there really is a “love language”, his would be the love of giving gifts. He would always come to his parents’ home bearing gifts. Whether it be food, stickers he made on the Cricket machine, creations on his 3-D printer, all types of sour candy for his sister, or the latest and greatest gadget. If he had only five bucks to his name, he would always find a way to give you something if you asked. His love for his family and friends was so deep and true and will be forever cherished. But His love for the Lord was even deeper. He knew of Jesus as a young child and would always try his best with what he knew about Him to please and live for Him.

Felipe is survived by his parents, Felipe and Raquel Arriaga; his brother, Alex and his fiancé, Elyza Guzman; his sister, Eva; his grandparents, Felipe and Maria Arriaga; his grandparents, Apolinio and Evangelina Perez; his girlfriend, Leslie Villegas; Leslie’s children, Vincent and Alana Ramirez; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
