Elton Troegel

Elton Frederick Troegel, 80, beloved husband, brother and father passed away Nov. 2, 2009 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Joan Baker Troegel, his sister, Marjorie Hughes of Shreveport, his children Cecilia Bowles, Thomas Troegel and Paul Troegel, their spouses, and many grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Edward Frederick Troegel and Audie McCoy Troegel, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Edward Troegel. He was born in Shreveport, La. on June 9, 1929. The family received friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at the St. Agnes Academy chapel. A memorial mass was celebrated at 3:00 pm on Friday at St. Francis de Sales Church.
