Donna Lee Longwell Kapner

Donna Lee Longwell Kapner, 74, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2025.

Donna was born September 14, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Carl Reid Longwell and Jean Irwin Longwell. Her childhood was spent living in Murrysville, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Franklin Regional High School in 1969.

Ms. Kapner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Penn State University. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and earned the Grand Cross of Color from the Pennsylvania International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Donna worked in retail management as a systems analyst, then later, was the owner and operator of theLee Gallery Store in Houston. She especially loved scuba diving, water skiing, art and animals. She enjoyed the company of 6 cats during her life, Smokey, Peacat, Ragamuffin, Jimmie, Pounce and Char.

Preceding Donna in death are both of her parents, and her brother, Robert Reid Longwell.

Remaining to cherish Donna’s memory is her son, Kenneth Harry Kapner and his wife, Mariela Kapner; her sisters, Susan Longwell Elko (Donald Elko), and Marlyn Longwell Donelson; sister-in-law Laurie Longwell; nieces and nephews, Chris, Katie and Ryan Elko, Greg and Billy Longwell, and John and Rachel Donelson.
