Donald Lee Craddock, age 82, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 24th at the Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center in Houston, Texas after losing his battle with cancer. Born on March 29th, 1940, to Bervis and Lucille Craddock in Houston. After high school, Don entered into the Army where he did his basic training in Fort Hood and later was stationed in Germany. Upon his return from the Army, he met and married Mildred Rush where they had a son, Landon. Don lived and worked most his life in Houston where he retired from Drillquip after 20 years of service and then went on the retire from Gallop Industries after 8 years. Don was a quiet and humble man and loved being around his family and friends. He loved to fish and was always up for a fishing trip. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Bervis and Lucille, niece Laura Strader, nephew Warren Strader. Don will be dearly missed by his entire family including his son Landon (Jana), granddaughter Fallon (Briar), Sister Evie Graff, nieces Lugene Strader, Holly Blackmon, Elizabeth (John) Thane and nephew David (Cindy) Graff. Don was also like a father to his stepchildren, Tory (Sue) Auclair, Leslee (Glenn) Williams, Gizelle House and Lori (Don) Sloan. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Michael E, DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston for the care he received. A memorial service will be held at the VFW Post 8905 a 21902 Northwest Freeway in Cypress on Monday, June 27th from 2 pm to 4 pm. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors foundation.
