Celso Oliveira, Jr.

Celso “Junior” Oliveira Jr., 56, died on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Houston Methodist Hospital in The Woodlands. He was born April 22, 1967, to Irma “Toby” Gonzalez Oliveira and Celso Oliveira Sr. in Charleston, SC.

Junior made a friend everywhere he went. He was an excellent cook, hounded at family gatherings for his crawfish étouffée. Working as a homemaker allowed him to be present for his immediate and extended family for all the good and the bad times. He was a passionate Houston Astros and Texans fan.

Junior is survived by his wife of almost 26 years, Linda Lamas, his six children, Alex Oliveira, Krista Oliveira, Erica Oliveira, Gabriella Oliveira, Prisella Oliveira, and Sonya Oliveira, his parents, Irma “Toby” Gonzalez Oliveira and Celso Oliveira Sr., and his siblings, Cesar Oliveira and Criselda Austin.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 6:30 PM at Walden Community Church in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
