Caroline  Whitcomb (Marsh)

Caroline Jeanette Whitcomb (Marsh), age 83, of Sugar Land, TX, passed away on June 6th, 2023.  “Carolyn” was born January 2nd, 1940 in Corning, NY.  She graduated from Northside High school in Corning, NY.  She worked as a teacher (all grades), specializing in special needs children.  She was a college guidance counselor.  She also volunteered for the Civil Air Patrol, serving and teaching overseas. In addition, she taught music in parochial schools, along with private piano lessons.  She was a church organist for several years.  She loved nature, animals, gardening, painting, baking, and sewing.  She is a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who now continues her journey of faith with Christ in eternity.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Suzanne Whitcomb Vivino. And her three children, Theodore James Gehring and spouse, Dvora Gehring, Janice Whitcomb Schramm, and spouse, Steven Schramm, and Kathleen (Kathy) Lee Baker.  Grand-children include Grant Gehring, Kristian Baker and spouse, Monika Baker, Michael Baker, and spouse Cici Baker, and James Baker.  Great-grandchildren include Jordan Gehring, Wyatt Baker, Evalyn Baker, Demelza Baker, Charlotte Baker, and Elijah Baker.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Regal Kenneth Whitcomb and Madeline Latourette Whitcomb, and brother, Regal Kenneth Whitcomb, Jr. (“Sony”).
