On Sunday, January 26, 2020 our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Carmelita home at the age of 85.
She was born on January 16, 1935 in Tanjay, Negros Oriental, Philippines where she grew up and spent her early years. She later moved to Cebu City where she got married and started a family. She loved cooking, baking cakes and desserts, and spending time with her loved ones. She was a beautiful, funny, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will always be remembered for her generous and gracious spirit and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Guadalupe Romero, her brothers George, Domingo, Cesar, Rustom Romero and son Agustin Lo, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Agustin Lo Sr., children Tina and Victor Maglasang, Severo Lo, Jose and Evelyn Lo, Angelique and Leo Divinagracia, and Lourdes Labra, grandchildren Samantha and Andrew Gerber, Kimberly and Ray O'Halloran, Jan Michael Lavares, Camille and Ulyzes Verano, Nicholas Alfafara, Jean Divinagracia, Justin Lo, Louise and Walberth Duran, Jules and Lorieth Lo, Kyle Divinagracia, Jason Lo, Joshua Lo, Jeilo Labra, and Julian Labra, great-grandchildren Mattheus Lavares, Paige Lo, Dmitri Duran, Sophia Verano, and Christian Gerber, sisters Rosemarie Sibug, Veronica and David Rohling, Josefina Remollo, brothers Joselito and Elizabeth Romero, Jose Francisco and Elena Romero and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and relatives.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 12:30 in the afternoon at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, TX.
