Aurora V Gutierrez of Houston, TX, 70 years old, passed away peacefully on Dec 4, 2025. Aurora was born in Harlingen, Texas where she met the love of her life Lazaro Gutierrez. After living in Kansas City several years, she came to Houston in the 80’s with her husband and settled roots in Houston where they would raise their 3 boys..

Aurora was a strong and dedicated wife and mother. She was loving, brave, kindhearted, and generous. Aurora was a marvelous wife, mother, and grandmother who was fun loving and enjoyed every moment with her grandchildren.

Aurora’s love for her faith and family was larger than life. She was a proud member of Iglesia Bautista Hosanna and loved serving Jesus in a variety of ways. She encouraged her family and her friends to love Jesus and serve others. Known for having a great sense of humor and larger than life personality, her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Aurora is survived by her loving husband Lazaro Gutierrez, Children: Heriberto (Laura), Ezequiel (Sandra), and Daniel (Christina). Siblings: Fidel Jr (Ruth) Vergara, Jaime Vergara, Maria (Juan) Tapia, Ruth Chavez, Noemi (John) Castilleja. Grandchildren: Gabriella, Caleb, Nathan, Emily, Morgan, Julian, Joviano and Elyjah. And numerous relatives and friends

Proceeded in death by her parents Matilde and Fidel Vergara Sr.

A service will be held at South Main Baptist Church on December 13th, 2025, from 1 to 4pm with a small reception included.
