Amy Johnson

Amy Alane Johnson was born in Bryan, Texas on June 28th, 1958 to Richard Dillon Simpson and Barbara Jean Regmund Simpson and died on October 14th in Conroe, TX due to lung cancer. Amy graduated from Bryan High School in 1976 and on July 30th,1977, she married Mark Stephen Johnson at St. Joseph's Church in Bryan, Texas. After marrying, she went to nursing school at Kingwood Community College and became an LVN, working in nursing homes in Huntsville and Conroe for many years. Amy is survived by her husband, Mark Johnson of Huntsville; mother and step-father, Barbara and Frank Milder of El Campo; brother, Richard Simpson, Jr. and wife Adalia of Denver, Colorado; sister, Resa Hersel of Carlisle, Kentucky; brother, Steve Simpson of Denver, Colorado; brother, Jack Simpson and wife Fawn of Milano, TX; brother, Matthew Simpson and wife, Sandy of Arlington, TX; brother, Mark Simpson and wife Gwen of Van Alstyne, TX; 14 nieces & nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. Amy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Simpson, Sr. Services are scheduled for 10:30 am on October 29th at St. Joseph's Church, Bryan, TX with Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating. Burial is at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Bryan, TX.
