Dennis Perry

May 26, 1954 — August 17, 2021

Tomball

Dennis Lynn Perry passed away August 17, 2021 at the age of 67 following a brief battle with Covid Pneumonia.

Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia Kraft Perry.

Loving and proud father of Rebecca Lynn Rodriguez and Deborah Lea Perry Goforth.

Proud Father-in-Law to Daniel Rodriguez and Jake Goforth. Proud grandfather (papa) to Niles, Ashby, and Nora Rodriguez, Marah, Victoria, and Lillian Goforth. Dear brother-in-law to Bill and Karen Kraft. Proud uncle to Taylor Kotara (Cameron Kotara). He was the son-in-law to the late David Robert and Marjorie Kidd Kraft.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father and mother, Delbert Heath Perry and Reta Mae Perry.

He was born on May 26, 1954 to Delbert and Reta in Dallas Texas. He met the love of his life, Patricia, when they were 14 and 16 years old. They were married June 25, 1977. Following his graduation from Houston Baptist University, he began ministry to youth and young adults, continuing even past his retirement. The Lord brought Dennis through a life-saving liver and kidney transplant in 2013, and a brief battle with cancer in 2021.

A minister of over 45 years, Dennis devoted his life to the service of the Lord. He never met a stranger, and everyone that knew him knew his faith rested in Jesus Christ alone. His joy and laughter were contagious. He always made sure brag on his daughters, being sure to share embarrassing stories frequently. God, his family, and church family were the greatest focus and blessing of his life.

“But those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“For none of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Christ died and returned to life for this: that he might be Lord over both the dead and the living.” Romans 14:7-9
